Market Lake, Roberts, Idaho

Market lake in Roberts, Idaho, attracts bird watchers from everywhere. I have gone birdwatching several times and have seen over 30 different species of birds.

The water fowl is plentiful.

There is even a pink flamingo which escaped from the Salt Lake City Zoo that is there on occasion. I have seen it several times.

Living out in Roberts, Idaho, for 10 years was kind of a magical paradise because of all the birds, and the water.

If you are interested in living out there, the real estate is limited, but what a beautiful place to live.

Fishing at Wells Pond

One of the best places to fish, especially with little kids, in the Idaho Falls area is Roberts pond.

Roberts Pond is located just off Basset Highway between Osgood and Roberts. It is east of Highway 15 and you can see it when you drive by.

They plant trout in this every year, and the pond itself is basically a gravel pit.

They have a road all the way around it and a dock that you can fish from if you want.

You can also take your boat or float tube and fish.

This is mostly a place that people don't know about.

I personally have caught quite a few fish off the dock.

The fish are small, but good eating. Roberts, Idaho, has more than one good fishing place, but this is one of my favorites.
